What is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is an evidence-based therapy. It blends cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, neuroscience and hypnosis in a structured yet person-centred framework. It is safe and during hypnosis you are always in control.
The main focus of hypnotherapy is to empty your stress bucket and calm your nervous system, so you can wake up clearer and more in control. Through small and incremental changes Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy can help you work towards your desired future. By using hypnosis, it allows you to access your subconscious mind to break negative habits and build positive pathways.
What are the benefits?
Hypnotherapy is beneficial for a wide range of issues, particularly, suicidal ideation, insomnia, anxiety, stress, burnout, low self-esteem and phobias. Also, where traditional talking therapies haven’t helped. Studies have shown that hypnotherapy can also help with executive functioning, lessen hot flushes connected with peri/menopause and even help with tremors associated with Parkinson’s Disease. If you are stressed and anxious, don’t want to talk about feelings, or have ASD and find it overwhelming, hypnotherapy is for you.
How many sessions do I need?
Everyone is different. Some people notice changes quickly, while others require longer sessions. The average number of sessions needed is around 12. However, for some neurodivergent individuals and those experiencing low mood or obsessive compulsive disorder, sessions may take longer. Some people may wish to have Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy as a standalone therapy whilst others may wish to have it before or after counselling and with therapeutic coaching techniques blended in.
