Anxiety or Stress and Burnout
Are you feeling anxious or overwhelmed?
Are you experiencing stress or burnout?
Whether you are constantly on edge, struggling with work pressures, or feeling the exhaustion of juggling too much, these experiences can be debilitating.
I can help you calm your mind, start emptying your stress bucket, and improve your sleep. We shift the focus from the problem to the solution, and I can explain the neuroscience behind why your brain is trying to protect you. By acknowledging the positives in your life that anxiety often forgets, we stop feeding the polar bear, which helps move you away from self-criticism, helping you find clarity and feel more grounded.
Grief & Loss
Loss can feel overwhelming and isolating, whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a significant life change. Grief doesn’t follow a set timeline, and the emotions that come with it can feel unpredictable. I will sit alongside you listening compassionately as you process the loss and navigate the surrounding uncertainty.
Grief can often stir deep spiritual questions and challenges. You may find yourself searching for meaning, seeking comfort, or questioning your faith. Whether you draw strength from a religious tradition, a personal sense of spirituality, or a connection to something greater, exploring these aspects of yourself can be an important part of the healing process.
Neurodiversity
If you’re someone who experiences life more intensely, you may have found traditional approaches to therapy not fully resonating with your needs.
Diagnosed, undiagnosed, seeking help with anxiety and emotional regulation, or simply want to understand yourself better, I’ll work with you to explore approaches that align with your preferences and pace. You deserve a space where your differences are seen as strengths, not obstacles, and where healing happens in alignment with your unique experience.
Lots of people I work with have neurodiversity alongside chronic health issues, as they are often linked. I have personal experience of this, and have overcome many of these challenges through various means. It is also increasingly common for women to receive an ASD or ADHD diagnosis during the menopause.
I am aware that many neurodivergent people are also part of the LGBTQ+ community, and I provide an inclusive space that honours all aspects of your identity.
Are you looking to quieten your inner critic and overcome self-doubt? Some of the reasons people come to me with low self-esteem include:
Bullying
Body image concerns
Shame or guilt
Low mood
Chronic health issues, including chronic pain
Navigating life as a neurodivergent individual
Through counselling, I support you with mindfulness, exploration and compassion-focused exercises.
With Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy, we focus on your strengths, resources, and future goals to facilitate lasting change, incorporating positive language patterns as part of this process. This allows you to move from feeling ‘not good enough’ to feeling more confident and establishing better boundaries. I can also bring in those counselling techniques if required.
Cultivating a fulfilling career
Are you feeling uncertain about your path, or questioning what truly brings you fulfilment?
Are you neurodivergent and/or highly sensitive, and find yourself hating every job you do? I can relate; before becoming a therapist, I felt this way too.
This work can help you explore these questions and guide you towards a path that feels authentic and aligned with your true self. Together, we’ll explore your passions, values, strengths and desires, helping you connect with what truly matters to you in both work and life. When you live a life of authenticity, life becomes easier to manage and you open up to new experiences.
Cultivating healthy relationships
Navigating singleness: Whether you have been single for a long time, or have always been single and are struggling to find that special someone.
Exhausted by the dating cycle: Feeling drained by constant ghosting, sudden rejections, or the pressure of putting yourself out there.
Recovering from a toxic dynamic: Trying to move forward and rebuild after recently ending a difficult relationship.
Struggling in friendships: Finding that past experiences have left you feeling guarded or unsure in your connections with others.
Through compassionate guidance, you’ll gain insights into your relationship patterns, uncover old emotional wounds, and learn how to heal and move forward with a sense of empowerment. Together, we’ll create a space where vulnerability feels safe, allowing self-love to become the foundation for all your relationships.
